Smart TV setup without buying anything new
The majority of TVs released recently support IPTV apps. Here's how to check if yours qualifies, and your options if it doesn't.

The initial question we hear rarely concerns content — it's usually "can my TV handle this?" More often than not the answer is yes, with no additional equipment required. Compatibility depends on three factors: your TV's operating system, how old it is, and whether IPTV apps remain available in your local store.
Find out what your television runs
Samsung TVs operate on Tizen, LG uses webOS, while Sony, Philips, TCL and Hisense commonly feature Android TV or Google TV. Android TV offers the simplest experience: multiple IPTV apps are in the Play Store and setup mirrors that of a smartphone. Tizen and webOS impose tighter limits — app selection is narrower, and aging units may refuse to install new software entirely.
Simple check: access your app store and look up a player by its exact name. If it shows up, you're all set. If not, browse "all apps" or the updates tab before deciding it's missing — TV app store search is notoriously rigid.
The setup itself takes four steps
- 1
Set up an app — IPTV Smarters Pro for Android TV, or IBO Player for Samsung and LG models.
- 2
Select Xtream Codes login instead of an M3U URL — it brings in both the program guide and VOD catalogue.
- 3
Input your username, password and server URL precisely as provided. Paste instead of typing — TV remote entry is behind most authentication errors.
- 4
Allow the initial sync to complete. Ten seconds is typical; a couple of minutes is expected with extensive libraries.
Step-by-step screens for every device are in our installation guide.
When the app simply is not there
For TVs manufactured before around 2018, the app store may have stopped supporting new downloads. This reflects the hardware's age, not the service itself. The solution is an affordable streaming stick: a Fire TV Stick or compact Android box converts any HDMI-equipped TV into a current platform, and your subscription works identically on it.
If you prefer to avoid guessing, share your TV's exact model before making a purchase. We'll research it and confirm whether the set can handle the app natively.
Three habits worth adopting
Connect via ethernet whenever feasible. When a stream freezes, restart the app instead of the entire TV. Save your credentials in a phone note — you'll need them again when switching devices.
Share your television's model number and we'll verify compatibility — before any money changes hands.
